KB Home, Los Angeles (NYSE: KBH) this weekend will stage the grand opening of a new community in northeast Austin called Northridge Park.

Located in an established neighborhood minutes from the intersection of State Highways 290 and 183, Northridge Park offers quick access to major employers such as Samsung, Dell and Applied Materials, as well as to the University of Texas at Austin and downtown Austin. Children living in Northridge Park will attend schools in the Austin Independent School District.

The neighborhood will contain two home design collections, the Heritage and the Classic, featuring 18 one- and two-story floor plans that range in size from 1,353 to 3,125 square feet with up to six bedrooms and four bathrooms. Tours of two new model homes and other activities will be held beginning at noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Free refreshments and drinks will be available.

Lot selection, exterior style, and home décor and features can all be personalized to each buyer’s own lifestyle and budget. Pricing begins in the low $200,000s. Once completed, Northridge Park will add 86 new homes to the neighborhood.

“The schools serving Northridge Park have leadership academies that focus on building confidence, academic preparedness and innovation so that students can choose the best educational path to fit their needs,” said Ken Langston, president of KB Home’s Austin division. “In the same way, KB Home is giving home buyers in Northridge Park innovative new energy efficient homes and the ability to choose the floorplan, home site location and numerous design features that best fit the needs of their families and lifestyles.”

KB homeowners in Northridge Park have plenty of choices when it comes to recreational activities they can enjoy nearby. Options include barbecues and picnics at Davis White Northeast District Park, or hiking and biking on the extensive trails located in Walnut Creek Nature Preserve. Families can also catch a competitive public school baseball or soccer game at Noack Sports Complex.

In addition to Northridge Park, KB Home is currently open for new home sales at 26 other Austin metro-area locations including in the cities of Round Rock, Pflugerville, Taylor, Georgetown, San Marcos, Kyle, and Manor.
