Lennar Corp.'s Board of Directors announced that Robert Strudler has been elected to serve as chairman of the board. Jonathan Jaffe will assume Strudler's role as COO. Both changes are effective Dec. 1, 2004, which is the start of Lennar's next fiscal year. Jaffe resigned from the board, effective immediately.

Los Angeles-based KB Home has announced that Derrick Hall has joined the company as vice president of communications. Hall will oversee all strategic external communications, public relations, and national media efforts. Prior to joining KB Home, Hall was senior vice president of communications with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Belinda Sward, director of research strategy for Newland Communities, has been named vice president of strategic planning for the San Diego, Calif.-based builder. Sward will be responsible for implementing the company's strategic plan at the regional and corporate level.

D.R. Horton has named Rich Ambrosini president of the company's Los Angeles/ Ventura/Kern County division. Ambrosini will oversee operations and implement growth strategies. Ambrosini joined D.R. Horton in May 2000.

Jed Duckro has been appointed land developer and acquisitions manager of Northeast Florida for Atlantic Builders/ Mattamy Homes. Duckro has more than 25 years of experience in real estate development, management, and sales.

WCI Spectrum Communities announced that George Gaspar will serve as director of product development. Gaspar joins WCI with nearly 30 years of project management experience in the home building industry.
