Furthering his 14-year career with The Ryland Group, Todd Jones will lead the home builder's Fort Myers, Fla., division as president. Jones most recently served as vice president of Ryland's Atlanta division.

Stephen Bell will join Choice Homes as the company's controller. He will supervise all financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting functions.

Holiday Builders recently announced that Ronald Achille will take over as the Florida division president. Achille brings years of management experience with Jim Walter Homes as the Mid South division president.

Michael Schnitzer tops off his nine-year career with Stanley Martin, a private home builder in the Washington, D.C., area, with a promotion COO. As COO, Schnitzer will manage field and internal operations, architecture, sales and marketing, land development and engineering, and information systems.

Newland Communities recently named Anthony Dolim vice president of finance. Dolim holds an MBA in finance from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA and an undergraduate degree in real estate finance from the University of Southern California.

In a unanimous vote, KB Home's board of directors welcomed the addition of Timothy Finchem to its ranks. Finchem, commissioner of the PGA Tour, is expected to bring a fresh perspective and unique skills to the board.

To supplement its growth, Coral Springs, Fla.-based Centerline Homes named David Sheir CFO. Sheir plans to continue acting as vice president of Centerpointe Financial, the captive mortgage company for home builders that he co-founded.

Ryland Homes has appointed Jan Gilmer to the position of permit and purchasing assistant. Gilmer is a Jacksonville, Fla., native and has more than seven years of business experience.

Fannie Mae announced that Daniel Mudd, who has been serving as the company's interim CEO since December, will remain the official CEO and president.
