Last Thursday, the official groundbreaking ceremony for Johnson Development's new Veranda community was held at the 590-acre development site, with Houston-area officials and members of Veranda’s development team in attendance. The Veranda community, which is expected to offer 2,500 homes at full buildout, will begin home construction early next year. The project’s builders have not been announced.
“Veranda is being designed to reflect the area’s rich legacy,” said Trey Reichert, Vice President and General Manager of Veranda. “Homes will offer front porches and architectural elements that harken back to days gone by.”
Veranda is the seventh master-planned community that Johnson Development has created in the Fort Bend area. Its counterparts are Cross Creek Ranch, Harvest Gren, Imperial, Jordan Ranch, Sienna Plantation and Riverstone, which is Texas’s top-selling master-planned community.
