Chelsea Building Group has broken ground on its new 24-home solar community, ReAlta, in the Costwold neighborhood in Charlotte, NC. Each of the ReAlta homes’ five floor plans will come equipped with compact solar panels, as well as energy-efficient appliances and “smart” control of lighting, HVAC systems, entertainment and security.
According to Chelsea Building Group CEO Marc Bickler, the company aims to build “high-performance" housing. “We believe that a home is a living machine, that beyond providing shelter and space, it needs to perform a variety of functions extremely well," Bickler said in a statement. "Our approach includes the development of versatile, open floor plans with beautiful finishes that will make the home uniquely yours."
Chelsea expects to finish ReAlta’s homes in late November. Pricing will range from $459,000 to $598,000, and floor plans will range from 2,350 to 3,980 square feet.
