Habitat for Humanity

Working in more than 70 countries, Habitat has helped more than 5 million people construct, rehabilitate, or preserve homes since 1976. Thousands of U.S. builders have taken part in local Habitat events as well as the annual Builder’s Blitz, where they provide labor, funding, and materials to build hundreds of homes over a five-day period. Next year’s event will be held June 6-10.

Working with local building industries, HomeAid builds and renovates multi-unit shelters for homeless families and individuals through local chapters in 16 markets across the country. Since its founding in 1989, HomeAid has provided housing for more than 220,000 individuals, many dealing with domestic violence, job loss, and natural disasters.

MBA Opens Doors

Operation FINALLY Home

This national network of builders, suppliers, and supporters has built 92 mortgage-free homes for injured veterans and their families over the past 10 years. The group partners with corporate sponsors, HBAs, builders, developers, and volunteers to help vets and their families achieve the American dream. Sixty-four projects are currently under construction or in the planning stages.

ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL

St. Jude’s Dream Home Giveaway raises money for the Memphis, Tenn.–based hospital and its seven regional clinics for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Homes across the country are constructed by builders and their subcontractors and raffled off in local giveaways, which have raised more than $290 million since 1991. This year, the program included more than 30 giveaways.
