The percentage of new home closings belonging to single family homes dropped, falling 4.2% percentage points. Mortgage amounts on new homes moved up, rising 16.4%.

Federal Study Agrees, Chinese Drywall Was Bad

The Bradenton Herald's Matt Johnson reports on a new federal study, released May 2nd, that shows that certain Chinese drywall emits elevated levels of sulfur compounds and other toxins.  Florida Sen. Bill Nelson says having hard scientific evidence may help more Florida residents exposed to the drywall in 2005-2006 get it out of their homes.
