WINDOW MANUFACTURER Pella has unveiled a new Web site that the company says is designed to help builders, contractors, and other trade professionals increase their profit potential. In addition to the typical product information, the site offers design and installation resources as well as materials to help provide better customer service.
The Pella, Iowa–based company launched “For the Professional” earlier this year as a way to give its customers more resources to better run their businesses, the company says. It has information on codes, compliance, risk assessment, ways to reduce callbacks, and an architectural design manual. “It also contains [an online] ‘how to' video with installation instructions and information on incentive programs that are only for the trade professional,” says Tracy Smith, integrated marketing manager.
“Not only are we here to educate our builders, we also help builders educate their customers,” says Smith. To that end, users can download fact sheets such as “Windows & Doors 101” and “Frequently Asked Questions” for their clients. “The pro can download the marketing tools and customize it with their company name and information,” Smith adds.
Pella feels that the Web site will be popular with its trade customers because it is a onestep resource for achieving valuable solutions better and faster. For more information on “For the Professional,” visit www.pella.com/pro. left illustration: phil cottrell
