THE NAHB RESEARCH CENTER'S MISSION—to promote innovation in housing technology to improve the durability, affordability, and environmental performance of homes and building products—affords home builders the opportunity to share their experiences and opinions to advance the industry. Since the Research Center has enhanced its full range of market research and product commercialization capabilities, builders have even more ways to provide their input. They can also participate in the Research Center's online Home Builder Research Panel.

Panel members will receive periodic e-mails asking them to participate in research studies on such topics as the effectiveness of certain building practices and how to address emerging industry issues. By providing up-to-date information on changes in the new-home building industry to the Research Center's market research division, the panel will be moving the home building industry toward the future.

The NAHB Research Center sends panelists a small stipend after they complete three online questionnaires. Panelists' feedback and contact information is kept confidential. Interested home builders should visit panel and complete the short form to join the Home Builder Research Panel.

The online panel information, in conjunction with the Research Center's Annual Builder and Consumer Practices surveys, provides manufacturers with a suite of quantitative market research products from which to choose. This data is available for tracking manufacturers' product usage and the quantities of building materials used, researching new products, planning sales strategies, distributing marketing and sales resources, and understanding the purchasing trends that impact manufacturers' businesses.
