One notable case of a company being sued because its website was not accessible is National Foundation for the Blind v. Target Corp:

The National Foundation for the Blind (NFB) accused Target of having a website that blind people could neither access fully nor make purchases on independently. The U.S. Federal District Court for the Northern District of California upheld the NFB's claims and Target paid a settlement of $6 million.
