LOS ANGELES (Inman News Features) - The California Association of Realtors has redesigned its official C.A.R. Online Web site. The redesigned Web site features a user-friendly layout, drop-down navigation, interactive functionality, enhanced member tools and customizable content, according to the association, which is touting the new Web site as "an all-inclusive one-site resource for real estate news and membership information for California's 100,000 Realtors." The Web site will feature live Webcasts with real estate industry leaders, moderated chat sessions, nearly 800 Realtor products for sale in an online product mall and access to affiliate program vendors.

A password-protected section gives association executives access to rosters, member outreach information, policies and bylaws, membership information, committees and other information.

C.A.R. 2002 President Robert Bailey said the customizable 'my C.A.R.' feature gives California Realtors the ability to select and manage newsletter subscriptions, political contributions and committee information and manage the content that appears on their personal Realtor Web page.

Departmental sections include information about legal issues, private arbitration, MLS bylaws, ethics, business issues, taxes, real estate finance, land-use planning, residential real estate market trends and other subjects. News releases and the association?s magazines and newsletters are available online as well.

C.A.R. has nearly 100,000 members and is headquartered in Los Angeles.
