Taylor Morrison, one of the country's largest home building firms, will unveil its first urban living community in Chicago on July 30.
Colfax Crossing will offer a suburban-style neighborhood within an urban setting, according to a press release, giving its residents the chance to own a new home in an area with a distinctive metropolitan lifestyle. Visitors will get their first look at Colfax Crossing during the July 30 grand opening, says Bob Meyn, vice president of sales and marketing for the builder's Chicago division.
"This is a community that offers home buyers the best of both worlds," he says. "It's a chance to own a new home in a thriving city that not only has its own character and flavor, but also offers convenient access to downtown Chicago."
The courtyard-style townhome community is just minutes from almost 60 city parks, highly regarded public and private schools, shopping, and a Metra commuter rail stop. "In addition to being walking distance to the Metra, Interstates 90 and 294 are close by as well, meaning no Chicago destination is more than a few minutes away," Meyn says.
Priced from the upper $200,000s, Colfax Crossing will offer maintenance-free living in two distinct floor plans. The Swarthmore and Bryn Mawr floor plans each offer more than 1,700 square feet of living spaces, including three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and two-car garages.
For customers who don't need three bedrooms, each floor plan offers an alternate upper level that increases the size of each bedroom, adding walk-in closets and optional coffered ceilings for each room.
