A Shea Homes community in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains is attracting more than home buyers with its beautiful vistas, fine food, and luxurious amenities.
The new Shenandoah Lodge at Trilogy at Lake Frederick, an exclusive and upscale 55+ active lifestyle resort community 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., is becoming a hotspot for weddings. The venue, which held its grand opening in July, is preparing for several wedding celebrations at its 36,000-square-foot facility. The builder has set up a website for interested couples to learn more.
“The lodge combines the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains with the professional amenities you’d expect to find in a big city,” says Jason King, general manager of Shea Homes. “You couldn’t ask for a better place to hold a wedding.”
The new state-of-the-art facility includes an outdoor ceremony lawn with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Frederick, a ballroom that can accommodate as many as 200 guests plus a dance floor, an adjoining garden courtyard that can be used by as many as 50 guests, and a private suite for members of the wedding party to use before, during and after the ceremony.
The chef of the lodge's farm-to-table restaurant Region's 117 oversees catering, which features American comfort food with produce and wine from regional sources. In addition to the world-class amenities offered on site, the lodge’s Shoreline Outfitters can provide kayaks and canoes for wedding and engagement photos to be taken on the 117-acre Lake Frederick.
“We are excited to join the greater D.C. area’s list of wedding destinations,” adds King. “And look forward to playing a role in launching many happy marriages.”
