For products editors, the bestthing about attending the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show is looking at all the cool products. But the second best thing is deciding what new introductions warrant a mention in a magazine roundup. Now that this year’s show is over, it’s time to take a hard look at the contenders. Considering the climate of the home building industry, the offerings were pretty terrific.

Green innovation continues as manufacturers such as Zephyr, Brondell, and Panasonic offer products with the environment in mind. Zephyr’s new range hood will use about 65 percent of the electricity of a normal hood; Brondell delivers a device that can turn a regular toilet into a water-saving dual flusher; and Panasonic has improved its ventilation fans to provide both warmth and clean indoor air.

Kitchens and baths are still about luxury, and there was no shortage of products to fill the need, from the Omega showering system by Jacuzzi to the glass and stainless steel kitchen sink from Franke. And, as usual, Kohler unveiled a show-stopper: a faucet made from carbon fiber and stainless steel.

Of course, there’s not enough space to show all the great products from the show, but the following list is a pretty good start.
