The Marvin Family of Brands’ tenth annual Marvin Architects Challenge has officially opened for projects submissions from architects in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Israel.

The Marvin Architects Challenge honors residential and commercial design projects which demonstrate “creativity and ingenuity” in their use of Marvin Windows and Doors. For the first time this year, design projects that make use of either Marvin Windows and Doors or Integrity Windows and Doors are eligible for submission. The challenge has also introduced a new prize category: Best Historic.

Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of architects, including Matt Kreilich, AIA, Takashi Yanai, FAIA and Jane Frederick, FAIA, ASID. Six category winners will be selected from the Best Historic, Best Contemporary, Best Transitional, Best Traditional New Construction, Best Remodel/Addition and Best Commercial project categories. A Best in Show winner will be selected from among the category winners.

“At its core, Marvin Architects Challenge is about celebrating stunning, original projects designed at the hands of architects from across the world,” says Dondi Kazukewicz, senior manager of brand communications at The Marvin Family of Brands. “We look forward to seeing new, ingenious uses of our windows and doors and the innovative works of architectural art that inspire us all.”

All winners will be invited to attend the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention from June 21st-23rd in New York City. Marvin will provide travel, lodging and resgistration for the winners. In addition, winning architects will receive a VIP trip to Marvin's headquarters in Warroad, Minn. for an honors event with Marvin executives and an opportunity to earn AIA-CES credits.

Winning projects and architects will be featured and promoted on Marvin.com, and published in Marvin’s yearly Architects Challenge coffee table book. The Best in Show project will also be featured in Architectural Digest magazine and in up to two video features.

Submissions are open through April 30th, 2018. Information and project submission guidelines are available at marvin.com/ArchitectsChallenge.
