STEVE BERKUS serves as president of Santa Barbara, Calif.–based Berkus Construction, a general contracting and building company, and as director of development for E3 Entitlement, a land acquisition and entitlement firm for urban infill mixed-use projects in California and Arizona. Berkus' building firm tackles both commercial and residential projects.

ALI R. HONARKAR and business partner Mustafa Ali Nouri formed Division One Architects, based in Rockville, Md., in 1994. The company focuses on modern residential architecture in the Washington metropolitan area, but it also has completed many commercial commissions.

MARK KIRBY is president of Raleigh, N.C.–based Dixon Kirby Homes, a custom home builder averaging 12 projects per year. Last year, Kirby launched a sister company, KDK Design, with business partner Brian Dixon and designer David Kenoyer. Kirby's firm was chosen as the builder for Better Homes and Gardens' Blueprint 2000 Millennium House, as well as for Southern Living's Newberry Park Idea House.

TIM LEFEVRE is president of the Los Angeles–based construction and development company Lefevre Corp. One of the firm's projects, Seven Fountains, a 20-unit apartment complex in West Hollywood, Calif., has been appraised as commanding the highest dollar value per unit of any building in Los Angeles County. The Vista del Arroyo Bungalows, a 30-unit luxury condominium development, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2005. GEOFFREY MOUEN is president of Geoffrey Mouen Architects, an architectural firm based in Celebration, Fla. With 15 years of experience in architecture and town planning, Mouen now serves as the lead town architect for the Walt Disney organization's development of Celebration. Mouen also served as the architect for one of Builder's three New Urban Challenge show homes in Orlando, Fla.'s Baldwin Park in January 2005.

WALTER RICHARDSON serves as chairman of the board for RNM Design in Newport Beach, Calif. With nearly 200 major design awards under its belt, the firm has been recognized for its groundbreaking accomplishments in planned unit developments, including hillside and environmentally sensitive land planning.

TERRENCE WARDELL is president of San Diego–based Wardell Builders, a company specializing in new custom residential and remodeling projects. Wardell began his career 30 years ago, and his firm has grown to employ a staff of 53. Wardell Builders has completed projects in the Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla, Del Mar, and Point Loma areas of San Diego County.
