The world's largest annual light construction show, the upcoming IBS is expected to attract more than 55,000 visitors from over 100 countries. It provides an opportunity to test out the latest building products, materials and technologies; network with experts; and learn the latest tools of the building trade to ensure your company's continued success. Now is the best time to register because NAHB is offering special September-only pricing, including a free expo pass for members and up to half off the on-site price for full registration.
For the third consecutive year, the 2016 IBS will be co-located with the National Kitchen & Bath Association's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show to create Design and Construction Week (DCW). Two additional events, the International Surfaces Expo and the International Window Coverings Expo, also will be a part of DCW. Anyone registered for IBS can visit the exhibit floors of all four trade shows.
DCW attendees also can visit NAHB's official show home, The New American Home, which highlights state-of-the-art products, techniques, and design concepts that can be applied to new-home construction in any market.
The IBS promises to be a rewarding educational experience with more than 100 sessions, all taught by building industry experts. Tracks include sales and marketing, business management, building science, and more.
The 2016 show also boasts an outstanding lineup of networking opportunities. Attendees can check out the Official IBS House Party, the Spike Concert, and the Centrals, which are hubs for programs, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops featuring top building professionals.
The IBS is the year's premier event for home builders and industry professionals, and NAHB is working hard to make sure that the 2016 show is the best on record. I encourage you to register now to take advantage of early pricing, and start planning to get your business off to a grand start in 2016. Go to BuildersShow.com to register.

September also marks NAHB Associate Member Appreciation Month. Making up about two-thirds of our membership, associates are critical to the NAHB, generously giving their time and expertise to the federation at the local, state, and national levels. Among the ranks of associate members are skilled subcontractors, sales and marketing experts, architects, interior designers, title and settlement professionals, lawyers, people working in financial services and insurance, and product suppliers and manufacturers.
NAHB recognizes an Associate of the Year, as well as a builder or local entity that best exemplifies the motto, "It's good business to do business with a member" through the BEAM (Builders Engaging Associate Members) Award. The application deadline for Associate of the Year is Sept. 28; the deadline for the BEAM Award is Oct. 5.
