Miami real estate is likely to be increasingly attractive to Chinese buyers, declares Jesse Ottley, a Miami broker.
In an op-ed column for the Miami Herald, Ottley refers to a new report from Rosen Consulting Group on behalf of the nonprofit Asia Society. The findings suggest U.S. gateway markets outside of New York and San Francisco are ripe for opportunity for Chinese buyers. First, it helps these buyers geographically diversify their investments and also receive more bang (or square footage) for their buck.
Also promising is the potential of a direct flight from the Chinese mainland to Miami, which could happen in the next 18 to 24 months. The City of Miami is working hard to forge relationships in the Far East, while will encourage buyers to consider Miami in the coming years.
