Scott D. Stowell has been promoted to the newly established position of Chief Operating Officer of Standard Pacific Corp., reporting to Stephen J.Scarborough, the company's chairman, CEO and president.
Stowell, who has been with the company for 21 years, has been the president of the company's Southern California region. Succeeding him is Todd J.Palmaer, who had been president of the Orange County region. Succeeding Palmaer is Ted McKibbin, who was vp of project development in Orange County.
"As Chief Operating Officer, Scott will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company nationwide, working directly with our four Regional Presidents. In his new role, Scott will help drive operational excellence throughout all areas of the organization, bringing increased leadership and focus to our cost-savings and process-improvement initiatives," Scarborough said.
