Puget Sound Business Journal staffer Marc Stiles reports on a newly approved 176-unit infill townhome project, across Lake Washington from Seattle in the city of Bellevue. The project, by William Lyon Homes' Polygon Northwest, will replace an old grocery store site, and will include greenways and retail.
Stiles notes that the project is moving towards groundbreaking at a time available for-sale units listed on the market in the Bellevue area are at historic lows, while demand for homes is growing. Stiles writes of Polygon's plans:
Called Crossroads Village, the project will dramatically alter the look of the neighborhood. The residences and 15,500 square feet of retail will be distributed in 29 buildings that will spring up on a property where today there's an abandoned grocery store surrounded by acres of parking.
