Coldwell Banker Prime Properties is recruiting new real estate agents from the veteran community, reports Albany Times Union staffer Leigh Hornbeck.

The company is covering the cost of licensing classes for veterans and their spouses as well as the cost of the real estate exam and membership in the appropriate real estate association. Depending on whether they take classes in a classroom or online, it’s a value of $3,000 to $3,500.

"Veterans are attractive to us," said Jane Mckenna, director of recruiting, retention and agent relations for Coldwell Banker Prime Properties for the Capital Region. "We're looking for people who want to make a positive difference in other people's lives. We find vets have a desire to give back."
