, an online real estate listing site, and Yelp, a local business review site, announced their partnership last month. The two databases will combine local amenity information and neighborhood trend data to give buyers a more detailed snapshot of the community surrounding their potential future home.

When looking at a listing, buyers can see grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, drug stores, gas stations, and more directly on the property listing map. The map will include Yelp star ratings, which range on a scale of 1-5 based on consumer reviews.

"Deciding on a potential neighborhood is often the first step in the home buying process," said Ryan O'Hara, chief executive officer for in a news release. "With the help of Yelp, we've enhanced our local data to take the anxiety out of living in a new area. Buyers now know exactly how close the nearest grocery store or coffee shop is to a potential new home before they even attend a showing."
