Las Vegas will be the capital city of “home builder nation” Jan. 20-22, 2015, when the NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) and four additional shows join forces for the second annual Design and Construction Week (DCW).

The IBS again will be paired with the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show, which is sponsored by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. Joining in to make DCW even bigger and better will be three additional industry trade shows: Las Vegas Market, which features home furnishings, décor, accessories and gifts; The International Surface Event, showcasing flooring, stone and tile; and the International Window Coverings Expo, which was a part of DCW last year.

For IBS attendees, this means exhibit access to all five trade shows and more than 3,700 exhibitors. It is a perfect opportunity to test out the latest products and services that will impress your customers and make your homes more competitive in the market.

In addition to the exhibits, the IBS offers premium education programs in 10 specialty tracks. New this year is the Building Techniques, Systems, and Materials track, which focuses on the “how-to’s” of modern home building and remodeling. Our speaker lineup includes the most highly rated presenters from past shows as well as 70 brand new voices, who promise to offer a fresh perspective.

We’ve brought back the Tech Hub, where participants can “plug in” to learn new technology and platforms. Other educational opportunities include more advanced-level Master Sessions for veteran builders and Building Knowledge and Spotlight Sessions, which examine the latest industry trends and techniques in design, sales, remodeling, high-performance building, finance, and more.

The networking opportunities at the IBS are unrivaled. Definitely plan to come to the IBS House Party at the Brooklyn Bowl, where attendees can bowl, dance, and mingle with other building professionals. The party frequently sells out, so buy your tickets soon.

The NAHB “Centrals,” which are open only to registered IBS attendees, also provide great venues for peer-to-peer engagement for those in remodeling, multifamily, sales, design, custom building, and 50+ housing.

Now in its 32nd year, The New American Home is the IBS official show house. Both a show home and a construction technology laboratory, this house showcases new products and technologies that builders can put in millions of homes nationwide—either on a large scale or individually. The New American Home is produced and presented by the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council and BUILDER.

At the grand opening ceremonies, Jon Gruden, the color analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, will talk to us about leadership and motivation. The audience also will be wowed by Catapult, whose shadow dance has been featured on America’s Got Talent, and ZZ Top will headline the IBS Spike Concert.

With all that IBS has to offer in terms of exhibit access, education, networking, and more, you definitely don’t want to miss it. Register today at I can’t wait to see you all there!
