Dallas-based Centex Corp. has announced four corporate executive promotions. Mark Kemp, previously vice president and controller, has been named senior vice president and controller. Kemp joined Centex in 2002 after spending 19 years with Arthur Andersen.

David Greenblatt, previously assistant general counsel, has added the title vice president. Greenblatt joined the company in 1993 as associate general counsel.

Paul Johnston, who previously served as corporate counsel, has added the title of vice president. Johnston joined Centex's corporate finance group in 2000 as associate general counsel.

And Steven McDowell, previously managing director of business risk analysis, has been named vice president of internal audit. McDowell joined the company in 2001 to direct the corporate audit function.

Meritage Corp. has promoted Robb Beville to president of its Las Vegas division. Beville previously served as COO and executive vice president of the division, known as Perma-Bilt Homes. Beville has more than 14 years of home building experience in the Las Vegas area.

Michael Southward has been named division president of Lennar Homes' Tampa division just eight months after being promoted to division manager. Southward has been with Lennar since 2001 and has served as the division's operations manager for more than two years.
