Southeast Florida appears to be the latest front in D.R. Horton's fight to pull the entry-level buyer off the sidelines and into the market with its Express brand. Next week, the company will open two models in Miami.
While the Fort Worth, Texas-based heavyweight seems reluctant to discuss the brand (outside of earnings calls), the prolific public relations firm for its Southeastern division put out this release today:
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 12, 2014) – Express Homes Southeast Florida is pleased to announce its first community in Southeast Florida will celebrate a grand opening for its two decorated models from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, September 20. The public is invited to enjoy tours of the Fenway and Wrigley townhome models in this community of high-quality, value-priced townhomes and single-family homes. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Summerville is located at 11617 SW 244 Street in Miami. Prior to the model opening, new home sales in Summerville are currently underway at Hemingway Point, which is across the street at 11868 SW 248 Terrace in Miami.
The two-story townhomes offer a one-car garage and start at $209,990. The Fenway is a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath townhome with approximately 1,701 square feet of living space, and the Wrigley is a four-bedroom townhome with three baths.
Single-family homes in Summerville are all two-story plans and range from approximately 2,200 to 3,555 square feet of living space, offering three to six bedrooms and two-and-a-half to four-and-a-half baths. All single-family plans feature a two-car garage and a fenced-in backyard and are fully equipped and ready for move in, starting at $279,990.
