Sales and marketing veteran Wendy Marlett will be moving south down Interstate 5 at month's end as she departs her current post as VP of Marketing/Sales/Communications at KB Home in Los Angeles (NYSE:KBH) and sets up shop as the new Chief Marketing Officer and Exec VP of Sales and Marketing at Standard Pacific Homes (NYSE:SPF) in Irvine.

Marlett will leave KB on August 27 and start at Standard Pacific on September 7. She will report to Scott Stowell, Standard Pacific's COO.

During her 15-year career at KB, Marlett was credited with establishing and maintaining one of the most recognized brands in homebuilding through groundbreaking and attention-grabbing promotions. Marlett also orchestrated and led a number of high-profile and industry-first partnerships with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Disney and others.

Earlier in her career, Marlett held marketing and public relations positions in the aerospace and health care industries. She has a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Long Beach.

KB announced the departure of Marlett as well as that of Treasurer Kelly Masuda on Wednesday. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, KB said Masuda both were leaving for unspecified leadership opportunities.
