By Christina B. Farnsworth. For 2003, The New American Home features townhomes designed to suit three home-buying market segments: a single woman, a pre-retiree couple (empty-nester), and a married couple with a child. The homes are part of a six-unit building located in prestigious Lake Las Vegas, Nev. The smallest of the three is 2,775 square feet, and the largest is 3,151 square feet. Estimated prices range from $825,000 to $975,000.
Las Vegas builder AmLand Development worked with Newport Beach, Calif., architect RNM. ABA Averybrooks & Associates created interiors that help visitors imagine each "owner's" lifestyle. Showcased, as always, are the latest design ideas, materials, and new products and colors.
The New American Home is roughly 20 miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center, and tours will be available during the International Builders' Show. Allow 45 minutes driving time or take the shuttle bus that will run between the convention center and the home.
